Subject: CDBG money- Saratoga Historical Foundation request

Dear Mayor and City Council members,
I am writing to you in support of the Saratoga Historical Foundation's request for $4,200 of the CDBG money to build the
City required ADA ramp for the storage unit on the City's Historical Park. Completion of the placement and finalization
of the storage unit behind the City of Saratoga's Museum will allow many needed improvements.
The ramp and related safety improvements, will allow the storage unit to be used for storage. It sits empty now. Once
the storage unit is in use, the Museum can begin to accept long awaited valuable gifts of local historical items and it can
move stored Museum items out of the too small shed behind the McWilliams House. The shed behind the McWilliams
House can then be refurbished to become the "one room school house" demonstration for the many school children
who visit Saratoga's Historical Park and Museum as part of their school curriculum. Our Saratoga Historical Museum is
getting quite a positive name for itself within the local school districts and senior living facilities.
Thank you for considering the ADA ramp grant request. It is a key piece in the growth of the City of Saratoga Historical
Museum /Park's ability to serve the public.
Sincerely
Ann Waltonsmith
Saratoga citizen
