The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Tripoli dated
August 20, 1957.

B. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
1. Council Land Use Policy
The Clerk read a memorandum from the City Council
to the Planning Commission on the subject of land
use planning policy relative to a general plan dated
Land Use August 12, 1957.

The Chairman directed that the memorandum be filed
for study.

Commissioner Webster moved the adoption of the
resolution and report of findings as read.
Carried unanimously.

A. ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE CONTROL
1. V-40, Paul Masson Inc.
The Clerk submitted the final plans for the
proposed Masson Bottling Plant on Saratoga Ave.
Commissioner Higgins explained the plans in detail
to the Commission.
V-40 Commissioner Higgins moved that the plans be approved

as submitted. Carried unanimously.
Commissioner Webster stated that it should be
understood that items not appearing on the plans
being approved at this meeting will require further
approval by the Planning Commission.
2. V-39, Durr, Fred
The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Dmrr dated
July 26, 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Durr explained the
proposed modification of the site to the Planning
V-39 Commission.

Commissioner Webster moved that the matter be
taken under advisement until the next meeting and
that the City Administrator be directed to have the
Building Inspector give a preliminary report on the
structure to the Commission in time for the next
meeting. Carried unanimously.

B. SUBDIVISIONS
1. SDR 22 - Saratoga Union School District
The Clerk reviewed the case for the Commission
and cited a letter from Mr. Vince Carrod, Chair-
man of the Saratoga Union School District, dated
August 7, 1957. Mr. Carrod gave a further explan-
ation to the members of the Planning Commission.
Commissioner Webster moved that the approvaleel
the tentative map granted on May 27, 1957 be
amended to read as follows:
CoNdition 1. Provide pedestrian access to
SDR 22 Glasgow Drive.

Carried unanimously.
Commissioner Webster moved that the Secretary of
the Planning Commission recommend to the school
board that they acquire a 6~ pedestrian access
through Lot 89. Carried unanimously.
2. SD 40 - Western States Land Co.
Commissioner Highins moved that the matter be held

The Clerk cited a letter from Mr. John Rodrigues, jr

Commissioner Webster moved that the meeting be adjourned. Carried
