B. NEW ZONING PETITIONS
1. O. R. Maggiore - C-12
The secretary read the application for change of zoning
from RI-B2 to RLpH-BD. Chairman Crisp moved that the
secretary be directed to set a date for public hearing,

for Mr. Maggiore stated that this date was preferable to

The secretary read the details of the request for a use
permit. Commissioner Pasetta moved for approval of the

The secretary read a letter from Leo Ruth, Civil
Engineer, dated 3anuary 2?, 1958. The letter was
referred to the subdivision committee for study.
Larry Palm, Saratoga, stated that the 150r frontage

next meeting. The secretary was directed to notify the
Associated Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors of Santa

IV CQW~ITTEE REPORTS
A. WESTERN STATES L~ND COMPANY - SD-40
The secretary read a letter from Oeor9e Nolte dated January
13, 1958. Mn'MacKay of MacKay and Somps stated that the City

Sarato9a to accept the responsibility now for drainage of

B. SUBDIVISION C~I~MITTEE

The secretary read the condition "disapproved until access
is approved throuGh.,~o'Montevtno ~oad". He explained

wants no further homes in this area until an access road
is provided. Mr. Palm stated that he had sold 50 sites in
this area in ~he last 10 yea~s and that people who have J
bought property already further up Bohlman Road~ will be
in for buildin9 permits. Mr. Palm stated that he thought
it unfair that he should provide the access road if others
were not assessed al~o. When Mr. Palm agreed to a time
extension of 30 days~ Chairman Crisp moved that the case
be continued for an additional 30 days. Carried unanimously.
Commissioner Anderson stated that the County Engineers plans
for this road shoul'd be ascertained. Assistant City
Attorney Clark was directed to study the legality of the
condition.

The secretary read ,the conditions set by the subdivision
committee of the County Planning Department at their meeting
of January 21, 19~8. Mr. Somps, Civil Engineer, for the
applicant questioned the conditiO~:12. He was referred to
the County Engineer for clarification of four lane develop-
ment of Quito Rpad. Commissioner Pasetta moved for approval
of the tentative map, subject to the conditions laid down

Chairman: Crisp stated that the Planning Commission had been

The seqretary stated that complete sets of zoning maps will
be ~eceived soon from the County Plannin9 Depantment and
'.Zoning suggested that screens be used to display these maps at the
'Maps
PlanninG Commission Meetings. Chairman Bennett moved for
adjournment at 9:01 P.M. Carried unanimously.
