I ROUTINE ORGANIZATION
A. ROLL CALL
Present: Anderson, Bennett, Crisp, Htggins, Pasetta,
Tiffany, Webster
Absent: None
B. MINUTES
Commissioner Hi~gins moved the minutes be approved as written
and distributed. Commissioner Pasetta seconded. Carried
unanimously.
II REZONING
A. C-14 - H. E. Oamel
C-14 Commissioner Crisp moved that the Secretary be directed to
H.E.Gamel
set a date for public hearing. Comissioner Webster seconded.
Carried unanimously.
III PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. VARIANCES
1. S. Hernandez - v-77
v-77 The Secretary read the application for a variance and

the letter attached.
The Director of Public Works stated that the proposed
building was within the 1%0* zone line fron Big Basin
right of way.
Mr. T. S. Patterson, 6th and Big Basin Way, approved of
the variance.
Mr. J. Owen, 14612 Big Basin Way, stated he had no ob-
jection to the variance.
Commissioner Webster moved that the applicant be granted
a variance to add an addition to unit 3, 4, 5, and 6
to be not less than 7m side setbacks provided the

addition does not extend back further than 150' from
the front property line and that no further permit for
an addition be 9ranted until unit 8 is removed. Com-
missioner Anderson seconded. The motion and second were
withdrawn.
Commissioner Webster moved that the applicant be granted
a variance to erect a 30t addition to the existing unit
3, 4, 5, and 6 so that the distance between the addition
and unit 8 will be not less than 4_w6" provided the ad-
dition is not closer than 7~ from the Northeasterly
property line and provided further that the addition
shall not extend more than 150' back from the front
property line and provided further that the applicant
file with the Clerk a written agreement to remove unit
8 as shown on the plot plan dated 4/22/58, within two
years. Commissioner Pasetta seconded. Carried unanimously.
2. G. Medetros - V-78
V-78 The secretary explained the request for a variance on a
G. Medetros

The secretary read a letter from Mr. Gerke, 19855 Bonnie
Ridge Way, objecting to the 9rantin9 of the variance.

3. J. G. Truman - V-79
V-79 The secretary read the application for s variance from
J.O.Truman
the required 10' side setback to 5' and a letter attached
to the application dated May 5, 1958.
The secretary read a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Paul F.
Mooney, 20520 Verde Vista Lane, stating that they had no
objections to the variance being 9ranted.
Commissioner Pasetta moved that the variance be 9ranted.
ComMissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously.

A. AIICHITECTURAL & SITE CONTROL

O. Enos The secretary read the application for Architectural &
Site Control permit to erect a sign at the Buy and Save
Market.
Commissioner Higgins moved that the application not be
approved and that a more detailed plan be submitted
(far9e drawing to scale). Commissioner Webster seconded.
The following vote was recorded. Ayes: 'Anderson, Ben-
nett, Tiffany, Htggtns, Webster. Noes: Pasetta, Crisp.
Motion carried.
B, SUBDIVISION
1, W. F, Pendegraft - SDR #66
SDR #66 The secretary read the conditions as set by the Countyts

Subdivision Committee meeting of May 6, 1956.
Commissioner Anderson moved that the tentative map be
approved subject to the conditions as set at County
Subdivision Committee meeting of 5/6/58- Commissioner
Higgins seconded. The following vote was recorded: Ayes:
Bennett, Higgins, Pasetta, Tiffany, Webster, Anderson.
Not voting: Crisp. Motion was carri'ed.
2. Mel DeSelle SDR #65
SDR #65 The secretary explained that this case had been postponed
M.DeSelle
from the last meeting at Mr. DeSelless request.
The secretary read the conditions as set by the County
Subdivision ComMittee meeting of April 16, 1958.
The secretary read a letter from the Saratoga Fire Dis-
trict dated May 8, 1958.
Mr. Ralph Van Arsdale, one of the signers of the letter,
explained further about the width of the road.
After a lengthy discussion between Mr. Mel DeSelle and
the Commissioners, ComMissioner Pasoira moved that the

application for building site approval be granted subject
to conditions #2, 3, and ~, and further that the appli-
cant be required to improve the pavement to an 18t width
from the edge of the bridge to his driveway. ComMissioner
Higgins seconded. The following vote was recorded:
Ayes: Crisp, Htggins, Pasetta. Noes~ Anderson, Bennett,
Tiffany, Webster. Hotton was defeated.
Commissioner Webster moved approval of the tentative map
subject to th~ conditions set by the County Subdivision
Committee meeting o£ April 15, 1958. ComMissioner Ander-
son seconded.
At this point Mr. DeSells stated that he wished to with-
draw his application.
The motion and second were withdrawn.
ComMissioner Pasetta moved for adjournment at 10:00
Commissioner Webster seconded. Carried unanimously.
