I ROUTINE ORGANIZATION
A. ROLL CALL
Present: Anderson, Bennett, Crisp, Htggins, Pasetta, Webster
Absent: Tiffany
B. MINUTES
Commissioner Webster moved that the minutes be approved as
written and d~stributed. Commissioner Hlggins seconded. Car-
tied unanimously.

A. REZONING

The acting Secretary readtthe application for a change of
zoning from RE:B4 to RI:B2 for two parcels of land approxi-
mately 31 acres, locate~'on the east side of Saratoga Sun-
nyvale Road south of Prospect Rd- The following spoke for
the rezoning: Mr. Dan Huttlinger, Blue Hills Realty; Mr.
Metnicks, owner of the property; Mr. Harry Oamel, holder of
an option on the property.
Commissioner Pasetta moved to continue the public hearlngs
to July 14, 1958 and that the application be studied by a
special committee to report at the July 14th meeting. Com-
missioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously.
B. USE PERMITS

The acting Secretary read the application for a Use Permit
to install two 20,000 9allon redwood water storage tanks
for the Saratoga Heights Mutual Water Company.
Mr. L. A- Palm explained the necessity for this use permit.
Mr. eeor9e H. Heiser, Norton Rd., stated he had no objection

to the tanks.
Commissioner Crisp moved that the Use Permit be granted
subject to the condition that the tanks be painted a natural
green. Commissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously.

Cemetery The acting Secretary read the application for a Use Permit
District
to extend the cemetery.
Mr. C. N. Cunningham, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of
the Saratoga Cemetery District explained the application.
Mr. Brewster Loud, 147~4 Oak St. asked the location of the
proposed extension.
Commissioner Anderson moved that the Use Permit be granted
subject to the condition that the new property being acquired
shall be fenced and hedges planted along the fence line at
the time it is used for cemetery purposes in accordance with
the present policy of fencing and hedges around the existing
cemetery. Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously.

The acting Secretary explained that a variance had been granted
to Mr. Hernandez at the meeting of May 12,1958, with the con-
dition that he remove unit 8 within two years. Mr. Hernandez
asked that the Planning Commission state the date of termination
of the two year period.
Commissioner Pasetta moved that the two year period terminate on
December 15, i960- Commissioner Htggins seconded. Carried
un~nimously.

Eden The acting Secretary'read a letter from Nail H. Dollard, dated

June 2, 1958, in which he requested an extension'of one year for
the tentative map for Mt. Eden Estates SD #30.
Chairman Bennett referred the letter to the City Council as the
governing body.

Commissioner Webster moved for the adoption of the Report of
Findin0s and ~ecommending the proposed amendment. Commissioner
Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously.
D. Zoning of Annexed Areas.

Areas. a discussion with the City Attorney of his letter of May
1958 in which it was suggested that the matter be referred to a
special committee for study.
Chairman Bennett referred the matter of zoning the annexed areas
1957-2, to the subdivision committee.
