Commissioner Bennett moved for approval of the minutes as
distributed and read by the individual commissioners. Com-
missioner Tiffany seconded. Carried unanimously.

B. SUBDIVISIONS AND BLDG. SITE APPROVALS

(Cont.) Secretary stated that no further tentative map had been
filed.
Commissioner Anderson moved that the tentative map be
disapproved. Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried
unanimously.

(Cont.) 'The Secretary read two communications 'from Mr. O. Makin.
Chairman Webster ordered the matter continued to the
next'regular meeting at the applicants reGuest.
At this time Chairman Webster appointed Commissioner Ander-
son to act as Chairman'bf'the-Subdivislon Committee, in
place of Commissioner Pasetta who has resigned from the
Commission.

Lutheria Commissioner Anderson read the recommendations of the

Subdivision Committee, dated August 21, 1959.
Mr. Caldwell presented the Commission with a record of
survey of this property. ,.
Commissioner Anderson moved for approval of the tentative
map subject to the conditions read. Commissioner Crisp
seconded. Carried unanimously.

Commissioner Anderson read the report of the Subdivision
Committee, dated August 21, 1959-
The Secretary read a letter from the applicant dated
August 22, 1959, granti_~ a 30 day extension.
Chairman Webster ordered the matter continued to the
second reEular meeting in September, and directed the
secretary to arrange a meeting of the applicant, his
engineer and the Subdivision Committee.

Commissioner Anderson read the recommendations of the
Subdivision Committee dated August 21, 1959
Mr. Hoff sty:ted that he wished to grant 6he Commission a
30 d~y extension for his tentative map..
Chairman Webster ordered the matter continued so that
Mr. Hoff and his engineer can meet with the Subdivision
Committee.

SDR-146 Mr. George Day discussed condition No. 5 with the
Seagraves
(Cont.) Commissioners.
Commissioner Crisp ~oved for approval of the tentative
map subject to the 10 conditions read with the addition
of the words "Off Right of Way" added to condition No. 8.
Commissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously.
Chairman Webster stated his affirmative vote did not
indicate a change in his view that Planning Commission
decisions should be based on a 120' right of way for
Saratoga Avenue until such time as final ultimate
widths were established by the City Council. He merely
felt there was no point in continuing his dissents now
that it was clear the other Commissioners favored a 90'
width, west of Merrivale subdivision.
There followed a discussion of policies concerning
width of Saratoga Avenue and improvements. Commissioner
Crisp moved that the Chairmam send a letter to the City
Council requesting it to advise the Planning Commission
concerning these matters. Commissioner Anderson seconded.
Carried unanimously.

The Secretary read letters from Robert G. Bonfo~ti dated
July 18, 1959, and from Mrs. Wm. Cook dated August 18,
1959, concerning the extension of streets from Saratoga
Gardens Subdivision into the ne~ Subdivision SD-122.
Mr. and Mrs. Davidson, Crespi Drive, asked about the
width of paving.
The Commissioners discussed the re~sons for the street
pattern in the new subdivision.

Commissioner Bennett moved that the letters be file~,

The Secretary read a letter from Mr. R. T. Chavez dated
AuEust 19, 1959, asking reco~sideration of condition No. 2
set by the Planning Commiss&6~ on July 13, 1959-
Mr. Chavez discussed the condition with the commissioners.
Commissioner Bennett moved that the matter be filed.
Commissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously.
The Secretary read a second request of.Mr. Chavez regarding
a 5' strip of property adjacent to his.
Chairman tabled the matter for lack of Jurisdiction
with concurance of all the Commissioners.
Sub- Commissioner Anderson reported on the progress of the Sub-
division
Ordinance division Ordinance, and stated that meetings were being held
by the Planning Committee of the'Council and the Subdivision
Committee on the matter.
Commissioner Higgins moved for adjournment at 9:03 P.M.
Commissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously.
