B. MINUTES'
Commissioner Crisp moved for approval of the minutes as dis-
~ributed and read, Commissioner Parden seconded. Carried
unanimously.
II PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. AMENTD~ENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE
i. Changing Residential District Designations and Creating
Amend.
~o Ord. R1-12,500, etc. 7:05 P.M.

Residential The proposed amendmint was read.
Distric~
Besignations The Planning Consultant spoke regarding 12,500 square foot
lot size.
The following people spoke in opposition to ~he proposed
amendment:
Nadja Spaich, Highway 9, Ssm~atoga; Don Ljepava, 13~21
Highway 9, Saratoga; LesSer Breeding, 12450 Paseo Cerro,
Saratoga.
Chairman Bennett ordered the public hearing closed at 7:30 P-~
Commissioner Parden moved that the proposed amendment
be recommended for adoption ~o the City Council. CommissioneA
Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously.
B. CHANGE OF ZONING
L.' New Zoning Map for R-1 and C-S zoning districts. 7:47 P.M.
The Planning Consultant explained the new zoning

following people spoke in opposition to the map:

JoknMcCune, Leonard Road; Don Ljepava, ~os 13421 Highway 9,
Saratoga; Mrs. Allen Boyce, 20900 Boyce Lane, Saratoga.
Chairman Bennet~ ordered the public hearing continued to
the nex~ regular meeting.
Commissioner Higgins left the meeting at 8:16 P.M.
2. C-25 Sacred Heart Church - 8:~1 P.M.
C-25 The Secretary read the application for a change of zoning

Heart from Ri:B2 to R4-H.
Church
Joseph ~ Curnen, representing the Church in the sale of
property, spoke in favor of the re-zoning.
L. H. Loser, representing J. Cyril Johnson, a contractor,
presented a typical garden apartment plan for the proper~y.
Sam Hernandez, Big Basin Way, spoke in favor of the re-
zoning.
Chairman Bennett closed the public hearing at 8:50 P.M.
and referred the matter to the variance committee for a
study and report at the ne~ regular meeting.
III COMMITTEE REPORTS
A. VARIANCE COMMITTEE

Zabelle Commissioner Anderson stated that information necessary
for the report had not been received until late Friday.
Chairman Bennett continued the matter to the next regular
meeting.

Brookside Commissioner Crisp read the Variance Committee report dated

Commissioner Parden moved that the modification of the use

permit be approved subject to the conditions as read.

B. ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE CONTROL

9he Secretary read the application for the permit.

D. Perry H. Taylor Perry spoke in favor of the permit.
Commissioner Bennett stated that the architectural and site
control committee recommended denial.
Commissioner Crisp moved that the permit be denied unless
the the secondary sign be first removed. Commissioner Parden
seconded. Carried unanimously.

Mr. and Mrs. Noryell Thompson spoke in-favor of the permit.
Commissioner Higgins returned to the meeting at 9:35 P.M.
Commissioner Higgins moved for approval of the ar&hitectural
and site control permit subject to the access to the parking
being widened to 20 feet,~ather than lO feet shown.
Commissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously.
C. SUBDIVISION AND BUILDING SITE APPROVAL

dated January 22, 1960.
Mr. Gilbert, Engineer for the Applicant, discussed the condit-
ions with the Commissioners.
Commissioner Anderson moved for approval of the tentative
map subject t6 the conditions as read with condition No.12
to read "Pay flood control fee of $150.00 per lot or $675.00
per acre,~hichever is greater less the c6st of drainage
facilities approved by the Department of Public Works,.
Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried nnanimousl~.

Morgan C~mmissioner Crisp read report of the Subdivision Committee
dated January 22, 1960.
Mr. Morgan and Mr. McKay, his engineer, discussed the
conditions with the Commisssioners.
Commissioner Parden moved for approval of the tentative map
subject to the conditions as read with condition No. 7 to
read as follows "Pay flood control fee of $150.00 per
or $675.00 per acre, whichever is greater less the cost
of drainage facilities approved by the Department of Public
Works~. Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously.

mittee dated January 22, 1960.
Commissioner Anderson moved for approval of the tentative
map subject to the conditions as read. Commissioner Crisp
seconded. Carried unanimously.
5. SDR-171 - Wilson-Hillyard

Wilson- Commissioner Crisp read the Subdivision Committee report

dated January 22, 1960.
Chairman Bennett ordered the matter continued until the
next regular meeting in order that a new map could be
submitted.
