Chairman ~?rton, in answer to an inquiry from a lady in the audience,
explained that the.applicant proposes to run a power line and install
'. two power poles along 'Afton Avenue.
Comnissioner Crisp stated' that 1): the Subdivision Committee did go 'out
· '~ ..... '... and .look at this.for 'Paul Y~sson ~) there are presently no overhead wires
.. . on this development 3)"there may 'be a good reason for the subject request
.... but no residence would be permitted to go overhead with their utilities

A gentlemen.. in the audience stated that 1) P G & E installed power
..."'.[.' poles and two'(2) guide wires .on his property on the corner of Dagnnar and
-.. 'Saratoga Avenue 2) when you look:out the window it looks like a jungle
and. 3) the subject poles.are .righlt in the center of the yard.
Chairman Norton. stated that it did' seem odd that jP G & E would have an ease-
. . .'; ment right through 'the center of a. property.
Chairman Norton directed V-323 c6n~inued to the next regular meeting of
'~ :' 24'FebrUary 1969, closed the publi~ hearing 'for the evening at 7:55 P.M.

Mr, Ed Kolstad was present and stated that 1) he was authorized by the

' of Realtors ShOUld have ~itten an official letter; however, he did not feel

Mr. Sam 'Hernandez~' local. merchant,: stated that he felt real estate offices
.... .. would be compatible with other use's in the "P-A" Zoning District since
. ..... Realtors are required to take Stat~ Examinations just like doctors, dentist,
.'.'..'... and'..!awyers; which, are permitted in the "P-A" Zoning District.
' " "' M~. Shelley Willjams,' local r'ealtor, stated that 1) the Real'Estate Industry
'. is trying to gain a professional status 2) locating real estate offices in a
". "P-A" zone may create some real problems relative to traffic 3) since medical
..-' and '.dental:offices;:~etC.; usually cluster together it would seem peculiar to
locate a real.estate office in the same area and 4) it would be better to
~ locat'e all similar:: uses in the same area,
Chairman Norton.stated that the Planning.Commission would have tO determine
~H~at real astate offices were most compatible with and in what zone they
should'be allowed, "
