TYPE: Committee-of-the-Whole The Committee-of-the-Uhole Meeting is a work/study session between applicants, interested citizens, staff and members of the Planning Commission to discuss projects and/or planning issues in an informal Manner. Rs such, no' official record is kept of the proceedings since the CoMmittee Uill not be Making any decisions. I. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION R. DR-SO-021 - Cutter, 1318~ Pierce Rd., consider whether proposed design changes including increasing the ares by 300 sq. ft., increasing the pitch of the roof and decreasing the front yard setback, are in substantial compliance with the previous plans approved by the Planning CoMMission Ms. Oolan, applicant, discussed the proposed changes with the COMMittee. Concensus was that the design had been improved and with landscaping along the west side for screening, the plans would be in substantial compliance with those previously approved. Ms. Dolan will be submitting landscaping plans with the building perMlt application. Bu DR-B6-028-1 - Uayne Miller Investment, Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd. at Pierce Rd., review .of 1S,~O0 sq. ft. retail center on the east side of Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd., south of Cox Rue. Messrs HHlberg, Dillon and HirschMan appeared for the applicants. Mr. HirschMan stated that theirStiMetable for signalization of Pierce was 9-12 months. They agreed that occupancy would not be allowed until the signal was installed and operational. Concensus was that the landscaping frontage along Saratogs- Sunnyvale Rd. would be 16 ft. wide and betMad upwards toward5 the parking lot to buffer the view of the cars in the lot, signage would be eliminated from the proposal for the time being, benches would be placed in the rear and removed later if necessary, site coverage was not a problem and landscape maintenance agreement for on-site Maintenance would be completed.
