QB~ANIZAT~QN A. ~ Present: Clemens, Franklin, Gilman, Pierce, Saunders, Ward. Absent: Anderson. Staff: Trinidad, Swanson, Pisani, Trejo, Tare. B. Minutes of April 3, 1988, meeting approved as presented. C. ~Q~I~_QE_T~E_AGEN~A Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this meeting was properly posted on June 1, 1989. II. QL~_~U~IN~ A. TQ~_QE_~QQ~LE~_AN~_~L_Q~TQ_~ABK~ The Commission toured Brookglen and E1 Quito Parks and were very pleased with the new play equipment and the general appearance of Brookglen Park and the work progressing at E1 Quito. The Commission also reviewed the Beauchamps park site. We discussed development of KeVin Moran Park, Dan feels preparations (public input, master plan development, etc.) will take approximately one year. Ill. N~_B~INES~ A. CAL~D~_PU~LI C_INEQ~ATIQN_~w. ETI NG~_RE: _$EA~C~A~pS AND_KEYIM_~iORAN_PARES We should begin scheduling public information meetings to find out what neighbors want. Dan will have blueprints or topographic maps of Kevin Moran and Beauchamps available at the next meeting. The Commission will discuss some options to present at public meetings. Some options mentioned at tonight's meeting were: driving ranges, teen park, pond for motorized boats, low maintenance native plant areas, and nature classes in the undeveloped areas. C. 1~ -' Some eas mentioned: Group picnic area, Congress Springs Park; Carnelian Glen trail; plant E1 Quito Park. First priority will be given to the Carnelian Glen trail. IV. ~Q~X~ZQN_AN~_~TA~_B~QBT~ Joan reported that Council approved the November 3-4 Hakone Festival and described planned activities. She mentioned a planned combination bike rally/Heritage Commission tour, plans for a teen park with skateboard ramps and radio control car track.
