A. Update on Uarner Hutton House
U. Young briefed the Co.Mission on the status of the
site and landscaping plans prepared for the house by
Coltrans. B. Uoester asked staff to relav to Coltrans
that prune or apricot trees .ould be more appropriate
than almond.

B. Heritage Resource Plaques
U. Young showed the Co~m~ission one of the bronze
plaques that arrived from the manufacturer. The
Comission discussed how to give them to the property
owners and publicize the events. It was decided
unanimously to group them by location for presentation
purposes. Commissioners Landsness and Uoester will
uork on the groupings and contact the property owners.
and Commissioner Tyrrell will work with the local
newspapers. Item will be put on next agenda for'
discussion.
III. OLD BUSINESS
A. Application fees for preservation pernits.
The Commission discussed what approach to take on this
issue. M/S Uoester/CaMeron to submit a written request
to the City Council asking to have the fee for resource
designations dropped. Passed unanifiousl9. Staff uss
directed to work with Chairman Held on drafting the
Heritage Resource Inventory
The Comission continued working on the inventory
forms, completing the review of forms 31-36.
IU. ,~TEMS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSIOA
CoMM/ssioner Tyrrel! brought up the Marsh-Metzger house
application to be heard by the Planning Commission that
evening. He msked staff if the Planning Commission had
received the Heritage Cmmission's me~o. U. Young replied
in the affirmative. noting that the memo and a discussion
of it were included in the staff report on that item.
Commissioner Tyrrell noted he would attend the meeting this
evening.

The next meeting will be held on Uednesday. August S at
3:30 p.m.
