G. GENERAL PLAN REVIEW FOR 1971

Public Hearing closed at 8:24 P.M. and continued to July 7, 1971.
VI. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
A. MAYOR
1. Reported that the Board of Supervisors has forwarded our request ",' ,"for
an" accelerated schedule of meeting the capital needs of the County
Library System to the County Library Commission.
2. Reported on letter from Governor Reagan soliciting nominees for Young
American medals for bravery in service during 1970 and asked for suggestions.
3. Reported on first meeting of the'citizens committee to review scavenger
service in Saratoga. Announced jim Naugle's election as chairman and
next meeting on May 25. Formal report expected by September l, 1971.
Contract expires March, 1972.
B. FINANCE
1. Payment of Claims
Approved list of disbursements dated May 19, 1971 and authorized Mayor to
execute warrants.

C. COUNCIL COMMITTEE AND COMMISSION REPORTS
l. Adopted Resolution 573-1, Sections (a) and (c) authorizing transfer of funds
between Accounts.
2. Planning Commission report that West Valley College is following its ov~rall
development plans and has not varied or violated its Use Permit (UP-l19)!

Letter from Jada Development Co. addressed to Councilman Smith concerning
future pathway along Saratoga Creek between Fourth Street and Stoneson i
project referred back to Parks a~d Recreation Commission with the request
that they talk to Dave Franklin. . :
Mayor Robbins moved that the City staff be represented at the Public Stu~y
Session on County Wide Fire Protection Agency Consolidation on May 27 ahd
express the City's opposition to ,the consolidation as it is presently I
proposed, seconded by Councilman Dwyer; carried unanimously. I
Letter from Edmund E. Bunoski; 20600 Verde Vista Lane wondering why
hasn't had a street sweeper on Verde Vista since he has been living
City Manager advised him o£ our current policy.
