PLACE: Crisp Conference Room City Hall, 13777 Fruitvale Ave., Saratoga, California TYPE: Adjourned Regular Meeting I. ORGANIZATION A. ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order by~Mayor~Cole Bridges at 9~O0-p.m. after a discussion of legislation affecting cities with Senator Jerry Smith. Present: Councilmen Bridges, Kraus, Brigham, Corr and Matteoni Absent: None II. PETITIONS, ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS A. Consideration of Ballot Argument on Referendum Issue Placed on the June 8th Ballot (Cont'd from 3/23) The City Council after some discussion, approved a ballot argument in support of Measure "I", concerning the Parker Ranch reclassifi'~ation rezoning on the June 8th ballot. It was moved by Councilman Matteoni and seconded by Councilwoman Corr that the ballot argument be approved. The motion carried unanimously. B. Ordinance No. 63 An Ordinance Callin~ a Special Municipal Bond Election in the City of Saratoga for the Purpose of Submitting to the Electors of Said City the Measure of Incurring a Bonded Indebtedness of Said City for the Acquisition of-the-.Fol.l.owin~ Municipal Improvement, to wit: Park and Recreation Facilities; Declarin~ the Estimated Cost of Said Municipal Improvement, the Amount of the Prinicpal of Said Indebtedness to be Incurred Therefor, and the Maximum Rate of Interest to be Paid Thereon; Making Provision for the Levy and Collection of Taxes; Fixin~ the Date of Said Election, the Manner of Holdin~ the Same, Providing 'f~ Notice Thereof, and Consolidating Said SpecialMunicipal Bond Election with the State of California Direct Primary Election to be Held on June 8, 1976 It was moved by Councilman Kraus and seconded by Councilman Brigham that ~dinanceNo. 63 be approved and the reading waived. The motion carried unanimously. III. OTHER BUSINESS The Council then discussed in a very general way the possibility of providing ballot arguments for m~asu~es "j" and "K" on the June 8theballot. The Council after discussion delayed action on this matter until April 7, after which time they would have an opportunity to meet with a citizens committee to discuss the bond election. IV. ADJOURNMENT There being no further aetion, it was moved by Councilman Brigham and seconded by Councilwoman C6rr that the meeting be adjourned to an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Saturday, April 3, for the purpose of interviewing applicants for the Saratoga Planning Commission.
