Continued need for meeting There was consensus that joint meetings with chairs of all commissions were not as important as individual meetings of commissions with the Council. Chance to discuss potential overlap of functions. Joint meetings among commissions do occur when necessary. One commission also does refer items to others if there is an overlap. b. Adequacy of communication '1) Planning Commission not knowing why new zoning ordinance is being developed as a prezoning action over the annexation of the Country Club--perhaps a formal report from the Council to the commissions on a requested activity to undertake should be done rather than relying on minutes, commissioner report or staff communication to transmit the Council's policy desires. 2) What should be communicated and how--both policy and work- -formal request for action should go to commissions from Council and from commissions to Council.
