Roll Call Councilmembers Anderson, Clevenger, Monia, and Mayor Kohler were present. Councilmember Stutzman was absent. 2. Report of City Clerk on Posting of Agenda Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this meeting was properly posted on June 26. The notice of adjournment from the June 17 Council meeting was properly posted on June 18. 3. Actions in Connection with 1992 Regular and special Municipal Elections A. Report of City Clerk on Official Canvass of Ballots from Registrar of Voters The City Clerk reported on the canvass of ballots received from the Registrar of Voters, which showed that Ann Marie Burger and Karen Tucker had been elected to the Council and that Advisory Measure I had passed. B. Resolution Approving Official Canvass and Results Thereof MONIA/ANDERSON MOVED TO ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CANVASS OF BALLOTS. Passed 4-0. 1. Remarks by Outgoing Councilmember Martha Clevenger Councilmember Clevenger reviewed her twelve years in office and expressed her good wishes to the staff and other Councilmembers. 2. Remarks by Outgoing Councilmember F. L. Stutzman Since Councilmember Stutzman was unable to attend the meeting, Mrs. Stutzman read a letter expressing his feelings about the favorable and unfavorable events of his four years in office. 3. Presentation of Gifts to Councilmembers Clevenger and Stutzman The City Clerk presented gifts to outgoing Councilmember Clevenger and Mrs. Stutzman. C. Administration of Oath of Office by the City Clerk The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to incoming Councilmembers Burger and Tucker, who then took their seats on the City Council. 1. Remarks by Incoming Councilmember Karen Tucker Councilmember Tucker thanked her campaign. workers and expressed her hopes for the next four years. 2. Remarks by Incoming Councilmember Ann Marie Burger Councilmember Burger also thanked her campaign workers and expressed her hopes for the next four years. D. Reorganization of City Council The City Clerk declared the offices of Mayor and Vice Mayor to be vacant and asked for nominations. 1. Election of the Mayor C!t~ council H~nutes 2 ~une 30, 1992 Councilmember Kohler nominated Councilmember Monia. The nomination failed 2-3 (Anderson, Burger, Tucker opposed). Councilmember Tucker nominated Councilmember Anderson. The nomination passed'3-2 (Kohler, Monia opposed). 2. Election of the Vice Mayor Councilmember Kohler nominated Councilmember MOnia. The nomination failed 2-3 (Anderson, Burger, Tucker opposed). Councilmember Burger nominated Councilmember Tucker. The nomination passed 3-2 (Kohler, Monia opposed). 3. Presentation of Gift to Outgoing Mayor Mayor Andarson presented a gift to Councilmember Kohler. Councilmember Kohler reviewed his termas mayor and expressed his good wishes to the new mayor. 4.
