AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING ARTICLE II
OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE SARATOGA CITY CODE, CREATING COMMERCIAL
LOADING ZONES ON BIG BASIN WAY
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The following described streets and areas thereof, hereby being declared
to be congested areas designated as commercial loading zones: Section
9-18, Article II, Chapter 9 of the Saratoga City Code is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following, as Commercial _loa~ing zones:
The Northwest side of Big Basin Way
Big Basin Way beginning 141±'~Southwesterly of the
(State Highway 9) intersection of the Southwesterly
Curbline of Fourth Street and the
Northwesterly curbline of Big Basin
Way for a distance of 66±' Southwesterly.
The Northwest side of Big Basin Way;
Big Basin Way Beginning 353~' Southwesterly of the
(State Highway 9) intersection of the Southwesterly curbline of
Fourth Street and the Northwesterly curb-
line of Big Basin Way, for a distance of 44±'
Southwesterly.
SECTION 2: Any provision of this ordinance which regulates traffic or delegates
the regulation of traffic upon State highways in any way for which
the approval of the Department of Public Works is required by law, shall cease
to be operative six months after receipt by the City Council of written notice
of withdrawal of approval of the Department of Public Works. Immediately upon
the effective date of such revocation, the City Clerk shall enter upon the orig-
inal copy of this ordinance a notifih~tion of such withdrawal.
SECTION 3: Whenever this ordinance delegates authority to a city officer, or
authorizes action by the City Council to regulate traffic upon a
State highway in any way which by law required the prior approval of the Department
of Public Works, no such officer shall exercise such authority nor shall such action
by the City Council be effective with respect to any State highway without the
prior approval in writing of the Department of Public Works when and to the extent
required by Division 11 and Division 15 of the Vehicle Code.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after
date of its passage and adoption.
The above and foregoing ordinance was regularly introduced and after the
waiting time required by law was thereafter passed and adopted this 6th
day of November , 1968, by the following vote:
