ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 11, OF THE SARATOGA CITY
CODE RELATING TO ENFORCEMENT OF PARK REGULATIONS.
.~ The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1: Section 11-3 of the Saratoga City Code i~~ hereby amended to read as follows:
Sect'ion 11-3. Scope of Regulations~And Appointment
of Special Policemen. The regulations
of this chapter are intended to be applicable to
all public parks, whether the. same be city parks,
or county parks, located within the city limits of
this city. Employees~of the city designated as the
officers in charge assigned to the care and regula-
tion of any property or premises belonging to the
city when used as a public park shall be appointed
special deputy policemen.* The Department of Public
Works shall have the authority to request the
appointment of other employees of the parks as
special deput~:policemen, if deemed necessary.
Employees Of the county who are designated by the
appropriate county body or official as officers in
charge assigned to the care and regulationof any-
property or premises in the city being used as a
public park under the jurisdiction of the county,
are hereby designated and appointed special deputy
policemen for the purpose of enforcing any and all
of the provisions of this chapter within the confines
of such county park.
Section 2:' If any section, subsection, sentence, clause
or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason
held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance. The City Council of the. City of Saratoga
hereby declares thatit would have passed.this ordinance and
each section, subsection, Sentence, clause and phrase thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses or phrases be held invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3: This. ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect thirty (30) days after
the.date.of its passage and adoption.
The above and foregoing ordinance was regularly introduced
and after the waiting time required by law was thereafter passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Saratoga on the Znd day of .Tn]v. , 1969 by the following vote:
