'0F SARATOGA AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION
OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES" RETIREMENT SYSTEM
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That an~.amendment to the Contract between the City
Council of the City of Saratoga and the Board of Administration,

empowered, and directed to execute, said amendment for and on behalf

SECTION 3. This ordinance is ~nacted as an urgency and emergency

facts constituting the urgency are that the City officially terminated

on an emergency basis, the added b~nefits canltakeeffect May 1, 1978,
whereas, in the absence ofthis provision, they would not go into
effect until mid-June 1978, which would leave a significaht gap
in survivors' benefit coverage afforded employees.
The above and foregoing ordinahce was regularly introduced as an
emergency measure, the same being read in full, and was thereafter
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at an
