REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 71.61E,
AS AMENDED, PERTAINING TO TEMPORARY WATER
CONSERVATION MEASURES
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby ordains as
follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds and determines that:
(a) The Santa Clara Valley Water District did, on May 10, 1994,

voluntary rather than mandatory efficient water use and to continue
to avoid water waste during 1994 and the foreseeable future.
(b) The City adopted Ordinance No. 71.61E on March 28, 1989, which
set into place a series of temporary water use restrictions which
are contained in Section 2 of said Ordinance, which Section has
been amended from time to time as water conservation needs changed.
(c) The Santa Clara Valley watershed area has now experienced
average to above average rainfall over the past three winters
making the need to continue the temporary mandatory water use
restrictions no longer necessary.
