AN ORDINANCE OF THE CrI'Y OF SARATOGA AMENDING . ·
SECTION 2-10.180(a) OF THE CITY CODE CONCERNING
EXPENSE ALLOWANCE [OR MEMI~F. RS OF THE C~Y

The City Council of the City of Saratog8 hereb~ ordai~ as foEows:
SECTION h Paragraph (a) of Section 2-10.180 in Article 2-10 of the City Code
is amended to read as follows:
"(a) Each member of the City Council shall be paid the sum of Two Hundred
Fifty Dollars per month for each month during which a Councilmember shall hold
office. Such payment shall constitute an allowance for expenses necessarily
incurred by Councilmembers for travel and attendance at meetings, events,
functions and activities within the County which the Councilmembers are required
or expected to attend by reason of their public office."
SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance is for any reason held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining pertions
of this Ordinance. The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby declares that it
would have passed this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and
phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that one or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses or phrases may be held invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its
passage and adoption.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly introduced and after the
waiting time required by law, was thereafter passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 3rd day of
October ., 1990, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Anderson,Kohler, Monia and MayorStutzman
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember C]evenger
