be subject to the variance provisions of Article 17. The~'following

RecreatiOnal Courts: ·
1. That any tennis courn shall. be designed to m~nimize
the impact upon natural veneration, and topographical
features in order to maintain the rural character of
Saratoga. "

3. That any tennis court loca6ion shall be selected. to
minimize adverse impacts due to drainage, e~osion,
and earth movement'
A Building Permit is required for each recreational' court, and
prior no issuance thereof all construction plans' and l~ndscaping
plans shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning Depa½tment.
Any decision of-the Planning Department can be appealed t~ the
Planning Comraission-through the normal use Permit procedure.
Further, a bond in"r~asonable amount to be set by the Planning'
"Director shall'be furniSha~'to'the Eitylt6 guar'antee th'e instal.la-
t{on of landscaping~mprovements 'in accord'wi~h'the appro~ed plan.
Section'~: SUbsection'3.3(g) is hereby amended to read:'
Recreational courts to'be. used'-solely by persons

minimum or maximum requirement of Section 3.2(h)
will not be m~t, or. where the lot is located in an
R-1 district. combined witha PC or PD district,
ekcept that no ~ecreational court will be p~rmi~ted

of 10% save and except'~hat this regu!ati6n ~hall
be subject to the variance provisions 6f Article.
17. In no event may exterior lighting or~op§que

Section 3: Subsections ~.3(f), 3A-2~(d)'and 5~3(i) are
hereby amended to read:
