The meeting was called to order at 7:05 B. Posting of the agenda The agenda was posted on Friday, May 9,2003. C. All present except Ballingall I. COMMUNICATION FROM THE PUBLIC A. Levin thanked prospective applicants for coming. Application deadline is 16th. Interviews are on Wednesday 23. II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion: Skelly Second: Byrne Minutes approved as read. III. OLD BUSINESS A. Rotary Art Show 1. Review: went well- enjoyed working in Kid Zone 2. Profit: worked 590 hours; last year worked 380 hours; $12/hour B. Dance - Elise and Valerie 1. Next d/Ulce: May 30 2. Communication issues: last dance was cancelled- why? Communication between Dance Chairs, DJ and Taffy 3. Advertise: May 23 at 3:30 at WHH make posters 4. Parent volunteers: welcome, not recruited 5. Girls bathroom monitors- staff 6. Theme: Hawaiian- appropriate dress, no bikinis C. Restaurant Night I. May 20th, Fresh Choice 2. Try for Saratoga Restaurants next year D. YAC Attack 1. James, Phill, Tami: went to three seminars and opening speaker 2. Ideas: Leadership, band night every Saturday, phone-a-thon, grants 3. More people next year- worthwhile IV. NEW BUSINESS A. Music Fest - Baker 1. May 17, 12-5pm a. Target: interested in other fundraisers- not Music Fest Bagels: we can get bagels- for Judges VIP Cleaners: $25 cash Safeway: $30 card Noah's Bagels: later Trader Ioes: $50 worth of water Togo's: sandwiches for judges Alpine Travel: $300 2. Advertising- Guitar Center, The Falcon, Saratogan, Saratoga News 3. a. Cheerleaders: I table, 3 chairs Lynbrook art- display or sell Bands can sell merchandise Indian Club: I table Katlyn Langstaff: cds $10 case of 25 4. **Bring Friends!!! ** 5. Next year fundraisers I.What we liked this year: most profitable, most fun, and easiest a Restaurant Nights- once we got our act together- good, easy, profitable a Dances- work on it a Donations- work hard on few, not work not hard on a bunch a Day care- day before holiday so Mom can go shopping a Rotary- keep it up! a Quick, easy, fun are the best- what we like the best, we will do the best a Car Wash- location?
