Posting of the agenda The agenda was posted on Thursday, September 5, 2002. B. Call to order at 7:02 pm C. Roll Call- All present. II. COMMUNICATION FROM THE PUBLIC A. No communication from the public. m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. No minutes to approve. IV. OLD BUSINESS A. Attendance - James Ballingall I. Meetings and Events a. Policy- if you cannot make it to an event, let TaffY know beforehand, but don't blow it off because you are tired or you have homework, etc. 2. Commissioner's Dinner a. Last year we had bad attendance, if you RSVP'd you need to be there- it gives us a bad image and is disrespectful. b. Anive at 6:30, dinner at 7:00 V. NEW BUSINESS A. Street Dance, September 21 I. Sign Ups: 2 hour shifts with 4 people in the booth. Clean up: 3 people on Saturday and Sunday. B. Art in the Park, September 28 1. We were asked to sell cookies from 10 -4 at Art in the Park. We made a motion to sell refreshments and cookies. Motion by Michael Byrne and motion seconded by Phil Baker. All in favor. There will be 4 shifts for 2 hours with 2 people. Set up: 9-10 Clean up: 4-5. C. Dance, September 27 - Elise and Valerie 1. Theme a. Given to dance committee 2. Coat Check a. Bags given to committee 3. Beverage and Snack Prices a. Candy, Drinks and Mints- $1: Motion by Michael Byrne, motion seconded by Valerie Farnum. All in favor. Next meeting we will discuss whether or not to keep the prices this way. 4. School Announcements a. At Redwood and Miller: bring ill, $5 at door, $4 in advance at WHH 5. Sheriff b. A motion was made to hire a deputy. Motion by Michael Byrne, motion seconded by Andy Miller. All approved. 2. DJ a. John Wyatt D. Skate Park - Taffy a. 131 waivers on file from Saratoga, San Jose, Cupertino, Los Gatos b. Range of 6 -70 people per week c. Two pieces were stolen - $500 worth d. Hours: Friday 3-5:30 Saturday 12-4 e. Advertising: posters, school newsletters, announcements f Location: Courtyard on Allendale E. Committees I. Set Dates to Meet: each committee set meeting dates and places F. Concert, October 11 1. Band Selection: Given to High School Committee 2.7:30- 10- Youth Commission 7:00 G. Web site 1. Given to PR Committee I. Annual Appeal Thank You' s - Taffy I. Wrote ~3 thank you's for donations H. OTHER DISCUSSION A. PR advertisements need to be approved before being hung I. ADJOURNMENT A.
