I. CALL TO ORDER
A. The agenda was posted on Friday, December 6, 2002
B. Roll Call- All present
II. COMMUNICATION FROM THE PUBLIC
A.Adam Mariucci, Jason Power- concert on December
22
1. They will provide chaperones, lights and
equipment. There will be 5 bands and it is
for all ages. It is $5 at the door and we
receive all proceeds.
B. Ryan Liscom- offering sound and light for
concerts
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes approved as read.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
A. Dance: Elise and Valerie
1. January 24, 2002 $12 tickets with free instant
digital photo- printed that night or you can
order more
2. Youth Commission needs to advertise more
3. Committee will figure out the ratio of
slow/fast songs and what songs they want played.
B. Calendar Sale: Ballingall
Sold 5 calendars- made $15 plus $40 donation
Thanks to Phil and James
C. Fresh Choice Fundraiser:
1. $53.42 profit
2. Need more attendance and advertising for
next restaurant night
D. Food Drive:
1. Bring cans to try to fill barrel by Fri
2. Thanks to those who brought cans
E. Jamin's Concert
1. Need more attendance by Youth Commission
2. Concert was similar to ours except that
each band had its own booth, they sold
refreshments, $6 and there were no
chaperones.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. New Dates:
1. Jan. 10 WHH Concert
2. Jan 24 and March 14 SYC Dances
B. Annual Appeal
1. Total $6,425.00

1. Talked to Ben and he is going to put up
youth links before Christmas at

D. Music in the Park: Baker
1. Need bands- everyone please look for them-
variety
2. wildwood Park- no problems with permit
3. IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS:
~ Community service hours for helping
~ Budget for amps and equip.
~ Booths to sell t-shirts, hair wraps,
HS artwork, henna- these people would
have to pay to be in it- $25
~ Open to public- community event
~ Sell Togo's, pizza, drinks
~ Sell T-shirts and boxers with logo
~ ~Alcohol Prohibition" permit
~ Volume level permit
~ Put in Saratoga, LG and Mercury
Newspaper to advertise
~ Emcee or host
~ Rules for band to keep orderly
E. Fundraising
1. ElRAINSTORM:
. Advertisements in Saratoga Newsletter
. Restaurant Night: take out?
*SYC meet at a certain time- eat dinner
and have a short meeting
. Car Wash: Spring or Summer Saturday at
Farmer's/Flea Market
. Flea Market: parking lot
2 spaces for $20 for people to use to
sell stuff- venders
. Spaghetti Night
. Auction
. Santa to the door- pictures with Santa
. Halloween Haunted House
. Valentines Day
. Easter- ~Crushn or Easter (Spring) Egg
Hunt- pictures
Everyone continue to brainstorm and bring to next
meeting.

1. January 11, 2003- Milpitas, 10-4 group of
YC: activities, workshops, lunch
