ITEMS OF DISCUSSION
1. REVIEW OF THE NHR SPECIFIC PLAN - INTRODUCTION
Staff presented a brief overview of the work program item and the
recent City Council discussion regarding the SWNE Road issue. The
Commission conducted a general discussion of the various aspects of
the Specific Plan, the HR Zoning District and SWNE Road. The
Commission suggested that, if all of the implementation measures
indicated in the Specific plan had been enacted, that it was
possible that no revision of the Specific plan was necessary. They
also asked if this item could be re-prioritized and if other work
programs items were of greater import. It was agreed, however, to
wait for further directions from the City Council regarding the
SWNE Road issue. Staff was asked to report back, in the form of a
staff report and recommendation, on the necessity of revising the
Specific plan. Staff indicated that it was anticipated that an
additional report would be presented to the Commission at the
November 3 Study Session.
