COMMENDATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
HONORING
RITA MCCARTY
FOR HER SERVICE ON THE
HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Rita McCarty has served the City of Saratoga as a Heritage
Preservation Commissioner from April 2006 through April 2010; and
WHEREAS, Rita provided her professional and educational expertise
regarding historic properties for numerous development applications considered by
the Commission, provided insight regarding historically significant properties,
including the distinction between La Paloma and Hayfield; and
WHEREAS, Rita’s extensive knowledge of historic properties, important
contributions to the community, and leadership made her an effective Commissioner
and an asset to Saratoga for many years; and
WHEREAS, Rita is committed and kind, and her significant contributions are
greatly appreciated by the City Council, Heritage Preservation Commission, the
Saratoga community, and staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saratoga City Council
does hereby commend Rita McCarty for her many years of hard work and dedication
on the Heritage Preservation Commission and extends to her their appreciation and
best wishes for the future.
