Adopt Budget Resolution authorizing the City to amend the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Budget reflecting $40,000 in 2002 State Park Bond Act Finds from the City of Monte Sereno. 2. Authorize City Manager to execute a Memorandum of understating connected to the transfer of 2002 State Park Bond Act Funds from the City of Monte Sereno. 3. Approve an increase to contract change order with B&B Landscape Contractors, Inc. connected to the Kevin Moran Park Improvement Project in the amount of $40,000. REPORT SUMMARY: Recently, the City of Monte Sereno allocated $40,000 in 2002 State Park Bond Funds to the City of Saratoga for Bocce Ball and Petanque Court improvements to Kevin Moran Park and Azule Park, respectively. There are no developed parks in the City of Monte Sereno so they transfer their Park Bond allocations to other cities, namely Saratoga and the Town of Los Gatos. Councilmember King and I attended Monte Sereno’s City Council to support the transfer of $40,000 to Saratoga .In return for their participation in these projects Monte Sereno requested recognition in the form of a plaque for each project. A memorandum of understating is attached, which will satisfy State requirements for the use of these funds. FISCAL IMPACTS: The City would receive an additional allocation of $40,000 in State Park Bond funds. CONSEQUENCES OF NOT FOLLOWING RECOMMENDED ACTION: The City would not receive $40,000 in State Park Bond funds. 2 of 2 ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S): None.
