Child and Adolescent Mobile Crisis Program 408 - 379 -9085
(Santa Clara County) Eastfield Ming Quong (EMQ) Crisis Team
The Child and Adolescent Mobile Crisis Program (CACP) is a 24 -hour mobile crisis intervention
service available to all Santa Clara County children and adolescents under age 18 who are in
acute psychological crisis.
The CACP mobile team responds to youth and their families during periods of serious emotional
trauma. The crisis team provides direct intervention services and links children and families with
other community agencies for long term care and assistance. The goal of CACP is to stabilize the
condition of both the child and the affected family members.

Onyourmind.net (for residents of the Bay Area, CA)
This local, live chat room is available Monday- Thursday 4:30 -9:30 p.m. during the school year. It
provides a safe and anonymous place for teens to get information and support from other
teens. You can talk about anything that's on your mind, including relationships, school,
depression, stress, suicide, friends, parents, cutting, identity, and health. You can also submit a
question to be answered on the Q &A page, or connect to resources for additional information
and support.
ReachOut.com — The Inspire USA Foundation introduces reachout.com a website for teens and
young adults who are going through a tough time. Reach Out contains all kinds of information
about the issues faced by 16 -24 year olds and real stories about how others have made it
through those tough times. Fact sheets, blogs, information on how to help a friend, interactive
comments, audio, video, written stories and more are all a part of what you can find on Reach
Out.
Real MentalHealth.com is the first social networking site to focus on mental health treatment
and wellness. The online community includes individuals, their family members, loved ones and
friends who want to easily and interactively obtain knowledge about symptoms and treatments
in a supportive community environment. This site is not faith - based. Different chat rooms are
available for those struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self- injury, and other
conditions. The site requires registration for chatting.
Newhopeonline.org is the first U.S. 24 -hour nationwide suicide prevention and telephone
counseling center sponsored by a (Christian) church. It utilizes a team of over 350 volunteer
counselors. It may be best suited to participants who identify as Christian.
Other Resources
Dial 2 -1 -1 for a free, non - emergency, telephone service that connects you with hundreds of
community services. A trained, caring professional will help you — 24 hours a day — find
information and referrals for: Basic Needs, Counseling, Health Services, Employment
Assistance, Child & Elder Care, Immigration Assistance, Volunteering & Donating and much
more.
The Suicide and Crisis Services of Santa Clara County (SACS) provides a cost -free drop -in
Survivors of Suicide Support Group (SOS) where adults who have lost a loved one to suicide can
meet weekly to process some of the thoughts and feelings they are experiencing as a result of
their loss. For the meeting times, place and further information about SACS, please call: 408-

Attached is a revised Attachment A: Changes in Total Fund Balance Sheet page from the
Treasurer's Report on tonight's agenda.
A $505,000 transfer out from the CIP Matching Grant Reserve (approved in the FY
2010111 Adopted Budget) was erroneously included as a manual adjustment to the CIP
reserve account. The journal entry for this transfer had not yet been entered into the
financial system as of the date of this report, therefore the transfer out should not be
included in this schedule. The offset to the elimination of this transfer out is a reduction in
the Undesignated Fund Balance amount.
The new Attachment A shows the corrected Fund Balance accounts (see arrows).
