RE: RUN FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Dear Sir:
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Santa Clara County is planning
to hold its second annual "Run for M.S." on Saturday, September 24,
1983. As with last year, the run will begin and end at West Valley
College and virtually the same course will be used. The race is
tentatively scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and the number of runners
is anticipated to be about 500. Permission has been obtained from
West Valley College to use their facilities.
Enclosed is a map of the race course. This course has been used in
the past and there has never been a traffic complication. Consequently,
no police aid should be necessary. There will be volunteers at major
points to direct runners and direct any traffic if necessary. Permission
ill be obtained from the residents of Monte Vista Road to use t e- r
street. Adequate medical aid will be on hand.
The M.S. Society seeks your permission to conduct the race. We would
appreciate any suggestions you might have and will comply with all
the City's regulations. The proceeds from the race will be used for
Multiple Sclerosis research.
Thank you for your consideration.
spectful ly,
 tiY
