SUBJECT: Request for City Council Agency and Adhoc Assignments for 2012
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept report and provide direction to staff.
BACKGROUND:
Every year, the City Council updates outside agency and adhoc committee assignments. This
provides the Council with the opportunity to add or remove assignments from the list and amend
Council Member assignments.
The current list of assignments, Resolution 11-040, is attached to this report. Descriptions of the
agency assignments are included in Attachment B.
Please review the list of assignments and submit assignment preferences to the Mayor by 5:00
p.m. on December 13, 2011. The final list of assignments for 2012 will be brought back for
Council consideration at the December 21, 2011 meeting. In addition to reviewing current
assignments, the Council may want to consider removal of the Carlson House Restoration Adhoc
and Mayor/Vice Mayor Oath of Office Adhoc.

CONSEQUENCES OF NOT FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
City Council representatives to various agencies and assignments to adhoc committees will
remain unchanged.

Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, this item was properly posted as a City Council agenda
item and was included in the packet made available on the City’s web site in advance of the
meeting. A copy of the agenda packet is also made available at the Saratoga Branch Library each
Monday in advance of the Council meeting.
