Awards Program ational Awards Program National Awards Program Each year, America in Boom sends a team atm specially trained judges to visit each entrant. They spent up to two days touring with you, meeting leaders and volunteers while you showcase your efforts. Awards are held in a different city each fall. Symposium and Awards program Evaluations written by the judges are emailed to all entrants on the Monday after the awards. A18 celebrates. and recognizes the great things our participants are doing to "plant pride" in America. We present awards in multiple areas: Bloom rating - Each entrant receives abloom rating (1-5) based on their score. Outstanding Achievement Awards - The "best of the best" awards in each of the six criteria: floral displays, landscaped areas, urban forestry, community involvement, environmental efforts. heritage preservation, and overall impression. These awards only go to one entrant among ALL the AIB entrants across ALL categories. Entrants may nominate themselves by July 31. Population Category Awards • Population awards are bestowed upon only ONE entrant from each category. John R. Holmes Ni Community Champion Award -This award recognizes an individual who exemplifies community Leadership through actions that reflect the mission of the organization. The award recipient, who rnust be from a city that has participated or is currently participating in the program,will have demonstrated a vision and selfless commitment to moving the community forward. Nominate someone you think is deserving: the deadline is July 31. YouTuhe Video Award - Many entrants use the power of YouTube to showcase how participating in America in Bloom has impacted thein. The winning video will be announced and shown. Circle of Champions Award - This very prestigious designation is given to entrants which have achieved a cornbirration of three population category avvards andlor three outstanding achievement awards. Each year there are a number of additional special awards which change year to year. Entrants do not know what they are until the winners are announced.
