HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-01-2015 Written Communications from publicTo The Honorable Council Member of the Council of the City Saratoga Mary -Lynne Bernald
Dear Ms. Mary -Lynne Bernald;
Today we are still living in imperfect world, where strong ones can deprive from
intellectual and material property weak ones, discriminate in any ways (this guy is from
my village, that one is not, so on). But glory god there is the USA in the world, which in
democratic way corrects mistakes inside and outside of the country, shows people how to
live neighborly, friendly and human way. Belonging to the weak layer of the society we are
eager of this approach in our community, that's way we ask your help.
As a gardeners for many years in the rocky and bushy ground in El Quito Park we
spend thousands of dollars and too much senior's expensive energy to improve the ground
and built blossoming orchard.
When we took garden, there was no word to move out people not living in city Saratoga!
living our last days of the life, having no guaranty for tomorrow's day, but Having a great
trust to American law and rules, we optimistically, step by step made this huge job with
our miserable energy and miserable material means, with hopes, to get fruits of our hard
work. But alas, it was not so until now. On the base of resolution of 2013, this year's letter
informs us, that all our precious investments forcefully should be transferred to somebody
else free, when we are still alive and in need of that! Why the man creates anything else
if he should not enjoy the fruits of that? It sounds like a damnation of vicious dervish in
our civilized society!?
Being a fan of nature, with heart and soul we are organically tied to this garden. Most of
our time we spent there, and Garden became much effective remedy and treatment in our
seniors' life. Having no other business and no money in case to buy one, garden is unreplaceable
for us. Working there we feel better. We are there every day. It is everything for us.
We think that any change in the law and rules in our country should be directed to creating
Strong community, (not dividing community to parts), make people richer, lucky, happy,
and at least not to hurt, deprive or discriminate people. But decision made years before,
deprives us from our investments and hopes, hopelessly throws us outof the life.
Trying to stop our unstoppable hard feelings and emotions we ask you generously
consider situation described over, and allow us use this remedy; keep the Garden
until we are able to do.
Respectfully, gabpd, aneiNenfet 9P an, (El Quito park, Plot #N)

To Whom It May Concern,
Please allow my patient, Yurik N Muradyan, to keep his garden in Saratoga for medical
reasons. Patient has depression and it helps him to keep it under control. He has been
taking care of this piace of land since 2009 and is attached to it. He is a retired
agronomist, doing gardening gives him the purpose of living and satisfies him
emotionally.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Elena Ermakova, M.D.
