Call to Order
Roll Call: Chen, Choi, Cosyn, Coulter, Harris, Kane, McIntyre
Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda
for this meeting was properly posted on May 5, 2016.
Accept Agenda Items: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code
Section 54954.2.

Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda
for this meeting for up to three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter
but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda.

Sheriff’s Report to the Commission
Old Business
1. Traffic Matrix #341
Issue: Request for solutions to improve pedestrian safety at Lomita Avenue and Komina
Avenue by Christopher and Saskia Adams. Traffic engineer recommended that the City
investigate a walking area in the frontage of the homes to create a path and asphalt burms
between parking area for raised walking path.
Action: TSC will review traffic calming plan developed by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
2. Traffic Matrix #344
Issue: Request for stop signs at La Paz/Aspesi and Casablanca/Myren by Dawn Murakami,
Colleen Balough, and Chris Tar. In July 2015 the TSC heard this item and the traffic
engineer recommended taking an incremental approach with directed enforcement, to
review locations for inpavement warning speed signs, and to come back at a future date
with new speed survey and vehicle volumes at locations to find locations to place
inpavement signs that show 25 mph.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
New Business
3. Traffic Matrix #359
Issue: Request for traffic calming methods on Sobey Road to reduce speeding by Sue Panahi.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
4. Traffic Matrix #360
Issue: Request for green bike lanes and more cross walks to encourage students to walk or
ride their bikes to school by Julie Hoffman and Bob (from 3.10.16 meeting).
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
5. Traffic Matrix #361
Issue: Request for traffic calming methods to improve safety at the corner of Bohlman and
Norton Road by Jody Tuers.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
6. Staff Report
a. Discuss meeting summary from April 19th TSC Special Meeting.
b. Cancel July 2016 meeting.
