HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017_03_01 Letter about St. Charles Parking (2)REQUEST TO
THE SARATOGA CITY MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
FROM THE RESIDENTS LISTED BELOW
Object: Public Parking on Saint Charles Street
Dear Mayor Lo and Members of the City Council:
We are writing to request that the city confirms without modifications Resolution No. MV -
307 (Resolution Implementing A No Parking Restriction On Saint Charles Street)
adopted unanimously April 16, 2014 by Mayor Emily Lo, Vice Mayor Howard Miller, Council
Member Manny Cappello and Council Member Jill Hunter.
Nothing has changed since 2014 and the situation is the same.
We, all the residents affected by this claim (all three houses living within 200 feet of the
subject area), are confused because we do not understand who did (re)open such claim, the reasons
and why is it submitted to the city vote again.
These public parking spaces are part of our lifestyle and essential for living downtown
Saratoga. These are useful and necessary to the houses for deliveries, doctor visits, gardeners, piano
teacher, cleaning personnel and other professionals/visitors. The residents would greatly suffer if
these public parking were to be removed.
We, all the residents, respectfully ask for the mayor and city council to consider our request
to confirm without modifications Resolution No. MV -307.
Respectfully submitted,
Thursday February 28, 2017
