A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
DESIGNATING APPLICATION AGENTS, TITLES ONLY, TO ENGAGE WITH THE
FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY AND THE GOVERNOR"S
OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
WHEREAS, in the event of an emergency declaration by the President of the United
States or the Governor of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, federal financial assistance is made available under the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988 and administered by the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or state financial assistance is made available under
the California Disaster Assistance Act and administered by the Governor's Office of Emergency
Services (Cal-OES); and
WHEREAS, in order to be eligible for public assistance, the City of Saratoga must
designate the appropriate application agents, titles only, to engage with FEMA or Cal-OES by
resolution and file Cal OES Form 130 with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saratoga designates the following
agents, titles only, to engage with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the
Governor's Office of Emergency Services as follows:
1. City Manager
2. Director of Risk Management
3. Director of Public Works
This is a universal resolution and is effective for all open and future disasters up to three (3)
years following the date of approval. The City Clerk is authorized to complete and forms and
undertake any other actions required to implement this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga
City Council held on the 5th day of April 2017 by the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Emily Lo, Vice Mayor Mary -Lynne Bernald, Council Members E. Manny
Cappello, Rishi Kumar
NOES:
