Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, this m eeting was properly post ed on March 5, 2015. Accept Agenda Items : No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2. Approval of Minutes February 24th Gupta/Shanbhag Oral & Written Communication: Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on th e agenda for this meeting for up three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter, but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. I. Lunar New Year Celebration Recap  Face painting templates worked out great  Event ended earlier than the second shift  An enjoyable event that the Commission should participate in next year II. YAC Social Youth Advisory Committee Recap  Pro’s/Con’s  Pro’s o Community Service Project o Great location  Con’s o Would have liked to meet more people from each Commission o Would like more leadership based activities o Did not enjoy the Pictionary game o This YAC Social was better than the past years o Tables should have been closer together/more formal  What was learned? o Other Commissions do things very similar to Saratoga  Ideas for next year? o It would be amazing if Saratoga had a Teen Center  Improvements for next year’s YAC Social o Would like a guest speaker to kick off the event o Would like the event to be more organized and more time spent on useful communication III. St. Paddy’s Day Parade  Saturday, March 14th 1:30-4:30pm o 1:15-3:00- Matali/Nupur/Roshan/Maya o 3:00-4:45-Allison/Summer/Mihir/Matali  Face painting/rock painting/fingernail painting  Shift Schedule  Bring Donation Box & Youth Commission Tri-Fold IV. Blossom Festival  Saturday, March 21st 9:30am-3:30pm 1:30pm  Coloring Booth-what to do o Friendship bracelets o Quarter coloring sheets o Pipe cleaner flowers  Shift Schedule o Summer/Maya/Matali: visit google doc to sign up!  Bring Donation Box  Youth Commission Tri-fold  Table Cloth & Tables V. Community Unity Week @ Redwood Middle School  Wednesday, March 25th  12:00pm-12:45pm o Maya/Roshan/Maybe Matali & Allison VI. Walk-One-Week  WOW should only be for students who walk, bike, skate, ect. No participation from car-pool or bus  Prize ideas: juggling balls, pedometers, water bottles, hand fans, or yo yo’s. Commissions will look up items and e-mail them to Bridget by Monday  School Assignments o Saratoga Elementary-Week of March 23rd o Schedule will be determined through the shared google.doc  Assembly March 18th  Roshan/Maya/Matali/Jeremy  8:30am arrival time o Argonaut Elementary- Week of April 20th  Assembly April 17th o Foothill Elementary-Week of May 18th  Assembly May 15th VII. Arbor Day- will discuss details at the April 14th meeting  Wednesday, April 22nd - 4:00pm  Blaney Plaza VIII. Pet Parade  Saturday, April 18th 11:00am-1:00pm  Matali and Daniel IX.
