IV. Old Business
A. Bicycle Intersection Improvements
50 left turn lanes at signalized intersections, some have D loops most do not. Public
Works (PW) will increase the sensitivity for left turn lanes and paint bike stencil for all 50
left turn lanes. When intersections are rehab'd, D loops will be installed where not
existing now. A list of all the intersections is available.
B. CIP Priority Rankings
More candidate projects are being added. This matter will return to the Trails Committee
in August (there is no meeting in July).
V. New Business
A. Trail Benches made from recycled materials, 4 locations hav e been selected initially.
B. Trail Maps Trails Committee supports PW mapping and making maps available on
the City website being aware of the current policy.
C. Pavement Markings for Trail Directions Hiker stencil was shown. Hiker and arrows
will likely be green. Size will alert car traffic to possible presence of hikers. Locations to
be determined, proposals at next meeting.
D. Safe Route to School Application 2 projects: 1) Quito Rd. sidewalk west side south
of fwy, 2) Uplit Crosswalk at McAuliffe School crossing Prospect at Titus. Submittal of
projects approv ed.
E. Parker Ranch branching trail Staff presented plans which are expected to go to
construction late 2008 pending property owner & neighborhood association approv al.
F. Mt. Eden area and potential trail connections Via Regina prospectiv e trail
connection subject to development activity taking place.
