I. Organization

II. Administration
Minutes approved for April 2009.
III. Oral and Written Communication
Letter from resident requesting sidewalk along Sobey Rd. referred to City Council without
recommendation.
IV. Staff Report
Annual Trail maintenance complete.
Lower Tank Trailhead buried Sanitation District Manhole uncovered and fenced.
All Trails now have trailhead signs.
Disking contractor contacted to see that trails are not damaged from their operations.
San Marcos erosion problem will be repaired soon.
Saratoga Los Gatos Rd. overhanging Oleanders n.b. approaching Village to be trimmed
Villa Oaks trail reconstruction is being started.
Bike Racks have been received from VTA – plan is in place for installation locations
Saratoga Los Gatos Rd. is receiving an overlay – request for enhanced width
Bike Lanes to be made to Caltrans.
V. Old Business
A. Bicycle Facilities Map/Circulation Element will be posted to City web site after
Circulation Element undergoes update
B. Reviewed and approved new trail maps
C. Blue Hills School RR Xing
resident soliciting neighborhood input is going to contact the Mayor after finishing
survey
LeHigh Air District Operating Permit – Committee approved request for City to
send letter asking for condition to expedite reopening of the Xing
VI. New Business
A. Future Bike Parking in Village – proposal with recommendations for bicycle parking
posts to be forwarded to Village Streetscape Project Staff Project Manager
B. Herriman – Saratoga Avenue intersection safety concern – Committee suggested that
Traffic Safety Committee is the home for this item and suggested a blinking crosswalk
C. Joe’s Trail and PGE trees – corridor work has concluded
D. Proposed Saratoga Creek Trail in the Village
reviewed routing proposal and plan to schedule a site visit per request of Mayor

and Council member.
discussed completing spur connection to Canyon View trail to Sanborn.
E. KMP Ribbon Cutting – scheduled for July 17th (Friday) 4pm – Rec. Dept. will be
showcasing their programs and soliciting signups
VII. Member Reports (information only, no actions to be taken)
- Teerlink Trail creek lining under bridge is not threatening bridge
- Mt. Eden Trail at uphill turn is now in place – needs wood chips – much improved sight
lines for crossing of street now
- Damon off Mt. Eden Oleanders have overgrown trial – property owner to be contacted
- Tank Trail reroute work expected to be done in 6 weeks
- Goat Head puncturevine has been removed throughout city along thoroughfares, Anza
Trail, and Schools
- Open Space area at Saratoga Heights was discussed
- Facebook site about Saratoga memories was discussed
