Call to Order 9:00
Roll Call: Annamalai, Baker, Dev, El-Diwany, Fariba (absent), Fatemi, Finch, Kausar, Rao, Rateau,
Rees, Rezaii(absent), Tang, Tkalcevic, Tseng, Zhao.
Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, this meeting was
properly posted on March 2, 2009.
Accept Agenda Items: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section
54954.2.
Oral & Written Communication: Any member of the public may address the Commission about any
matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up three minutes. Commissioners may not comment
on the matter, but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda.

a. Concert –May 9 th ? 14 in favor/1 abstain/0 against, would like to become more
involved in the publicity of this event
b. Reminder about Tuesday’s meeting
i. Meet at 6:00 p.m. with Parks and Recreation Commission at Community
Center.

c. Discussion of the future direction of the Saratoga Youth Commission
Future direct ion:
Advisors to the cit y council: How much do they really need us?
Should we duplicate what schools are already do ing? Is it beneficial?
What has the youth commission done in the past?
Why are we doing…?
We have been static. (done the same events for a long time) “Beco me more dynamic”
Why do events if we as a commissio n don’t want to do them?
