Pedestrian Local Access Needs.
•Fully connected pedestrian network along the
City’s major roadways could help facilitate
pedestrian travel.
•Program for students to walk as a group with
parents/guardians (“walking school bus”)
•Extend/provide a trail or sidewalk for
pedestrians to easily access parks, such as
Quarry Park.

Employer Shuttle Observations.
Location: West Valley College “park-and-ride” for employer-based shuttles
Date: May 2017 during the AM peak period (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM)
•Two shuttles observed
•Approximately 30 minutes headways in peak commute hours
•Duration in pick-up location was roughly 30 minutes
•75% drove to West Valley College and park throughout the campus
parking lot
•Remainder of commuters were:
•dropped-off
•ride a bicycle
•Approximately 15 residents were observed per shuttle.
