•Gave 33 sessions
•Served 11 schools
from San Mateo to
Santa Clara
•Grades 2-5th
•1000 students went
through the program!
New Programs
•Expanding to include
more 4th and 5th
grades
•Parlor focus is on
clothing and manners

•Kitchen focus is on
herbal remedies
including herbs used

•Author Elias Castillo spoke about
the enslavement of California
Indians by the Spanish Missions
•Lecture on Castroville Mammoth
and Paleo-Indians Discovery By
Archaeologist Mark Hylkema on
the Castroville dig where a
Columbian Mammoth was
discovered
Extending Reach
•Historian Ray Cosyn presented these topics
at the museum (Lusitania, Flying Tigers,
Great Indian Railroad) drawing 40 people
•Presented 11 presentations on the peninsula
on Prohibition, Flying Tigers, Peninsular
Railroad, Saratoga--a Lumber Town
