If your businesses is located in or operating in Saratoga, you are required to have a license issued by the City. This applies to all businesses, including home based businesses, anyone registering a fictitious business name, obtaining a seller’s permit, leasing residential and/or commercial property, or performing contract work. Licenses allow the City to make sure businesses are located in an area appropriate for the business use. Businesses licenses vary depending on the type of business you have, and the City charges a minimal business license fee that helps fund infrastructure and services for businesses and customers alike.
