REGULAR MEETING
MINUTES

Call to Order
Present: Choi, Cosyn, Coulter, Harris, Kane, McIntyre
Absent: Chen, Harris

Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda
for this meeting was properly posted on September 7, 2017.

1. Traffic Matrix #396- Kevin Moran Park Traffic
Issue: Request by Srikant Gokulnatha to install no parking signs, lighted crosswalks at
intersections, and speed bumps near and around Kevin Moran Park to prevent speeding.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
- COMMISSIONER KANE MOTIONS TO PAINT FROM NORTH SIDE TO RAMP TO RESTRICT
PARKING.
- COMMISSER COULTER GAVE SECOND MOTION.
- APPROVED- 5-0 (COMMISSIONER CHEN AND COMMISSIONER HARRIS ABSENT)
- COMMISSIONER COSYN MOTIONED TO REPLACE THE TRUNCATED DOMES INTO
YELLOW.
- MOTION FAILED.
- COMMISSIONER CHOI MOTIONED TO EXPLORE NEW PLACEMENT OF RAMP.

3. Traffic Matrix #397- Left Turn from Paramount
Issue: Request by Arun Venkatachar to install buffer lane on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road at the
Paramount Drive intersection, reinstall No U-turn sign and trim bushes on westside of
Saratoga-Sunnyvale, north of Paramount Drive.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.

- COMMISSIONER KANE GAVE MOTION TO REMOVE BUSH.

- COMMISSIONER KANE GAVE MOTION FOR TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO LOOK AT STOP LINE
AND LOOKING AT THE VISIBILITY

4. Traffic Matrix #398- Reid Lane
Issue: Request by Henry Coles to have another survey completed on Reid Lane to allow
Sheriff deputies to enforce speed limit using radar.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
- COMMISSIONER COULTER RECOMMENDED TO INCLUDE REID IN RADAR FEEDBACK
ROTATION.
- COMMISSIONER COSYN GAVE SECOND MOTION.

5. Traffic Matrix #399- Bulb outs at Kreisler and Wardell
Issue: Request by Tom Howell to modify painted bulbouts because they compromise
bicyclists safety.
Action: TSC will review and discuss data collected by the traffic engineer and make a
recommendation.
- COMMISSIONER COULTER RECOMMENDED TO REMOVE THE BOTTS DOTTS ALONG
THE STRAIGHT SECTION OF THE BULBOUT AT WARDELL AND KREISLER.
- COMMISSIONER COSYN GAVE SECOND MOTION.
- APPROVED 5-0
1. Traffic Matrix #395- Braemar Drive (Moved to back)
Issue: Request by Kay Xiao to evaluate speeding on Braemar and possibly install a Stop sign
or speed hump near the slope on the road.
Action: TSC will review and discuss recommendation presented by the traffic engineer.
- COMMISSIONER COULTER TAKES NO ACTION.
- COMMISSIONER COSYN GAVE SECOND COMMISSION.
- APPROVE 5-0
6. Staff Gave Report on status of previous and future projects.
Adjournment – commissioner coulter motioned to adjourn.
Commissioner kane gave second motion.
