a.Roll Call

b.Review of minutes from January 6, 2015 meeting. – Stransky/Marchetti moved to
approve the January 6, 2015 minutes.
Motion Passed: Ayes: Stransky, Marchetti, Cappello, Conrado, Nugent, Schuck, Shah
Absent: None
Abstain: None
c.Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda was
properly posted on February 24, 2015.
d.Non-Agendized Communications - Any member of the public may address the
Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes.
Commissioner Nugent spoke with Jo Rodgers, owner of a historic Mid –Century
Modern home at 18500 Montpere Way, who is interest in having her property
listed on the inventory. Commissioner Stransky spoke about additional properties
to potentially add onto the inventory. Commissioner Stransky to send additional
information to Chris Riordan regarding potential properties to add to the list.
Properties included 14625 Big Basin Way, 14701 Oak Street, 14285 Saratoga
Avenue. Commissioner Marchetti knew of property on Montpere, but was unsure
of address. Commissioner Nugent spoke about 18500 Montpere. Commissioner
Stransky requested to add discussion regarding adding a plaque to Blossom
Festival and Saratoga Inn Ampitheater to April agenda.
e.HPC direction to staff regarding non-agendized communications - Commissioners may
not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda.

HPC directed Staff to add the plaque discussion to the April agenda.
3.New Business:
a. 19935 Herriman Avenue (HPC15-0001) – Review proposed roofing materials for an
existing single-family residence located on a Heritage Lane. Conrado/Shah moved to
approve.
Motion Passed. Ayes: Cappello, Conrado, Nugent, Schuck, Stransky, Shah. Noes: None
Absent: None, Abstain: None.
b. 14140 Saratoga Avenue - (HPC15-0002) – Review proposed roofing materials for an
existing single-family residence located on a Heritage Lane. Conrado/Schuck moved to
approve.
Motion Passed. Ayes: Cappello, Conrado, Nugent, Schuck, Stransky. Noes: Shah
Absent: None, Abstain: None.
c.Heritage Tree Society – Discuss selection of an HPC Liaison. Item discussed.
Determination of HPC was to request member of Heritage Tree Society to speak at future
HPC meeting.
d. Discussion of possible new procedures or regulations for reviewing potentially historic
homes which are 50 years of age or greater. Item discussed. Commissioner Cappello
could be informed if the HPC can review all permits for associated with residences at
least 50 years of age. CDD Ordoñez informed HPC that a special ordinance may allow
such a request. HPC wishes to discuss in further detail. HPC directed Staff to provide
memo and matrix on how properties are reviewed regarding their historic character for
May meeting.
4. Old Business
a.Review and discuss Historic Walking tour from the February meeting. Item
discussed. HPC consensus was positive. Leslie Dill (who works for Archives and
Architecture and presented the tour) offered to speak to the HPC. The presentation is
titled “Design Integrity” in May 2015. The approximate cost would be $250.
b.Review HPC Work Plan. Item discussed. HPC to continue discussion to future
agenda.

a.Quarry Property – Staff to provide update on the Quarry Master Plan. No update

Heritage Inventory – see attached list prepared by Commissioner Nugent. List shared

6.Commissioner Comments
a.Commissioner Nugent is requesting the creation of a spreadsheet type log of
approved items – First section will be for the Heritage Resource Inventory (see white
board chart). Along with the date & property address the log will contain checked
columns to indicate that the property was added to Inventory list, DPR, and Web.
This list will be accessible via laptop at each meeting. Staff planner Fossati
presented the HPC the spreadsheet used to document resolutions approved by
Planning Commission. The HPC directed staff to use similar process to document
properties added to Heritage Inventory. Staff to bring back spreadsheet sample
created specifically for heritage inventory properties to the next meeting in April.
