Site Visit: a. None 2. Routine Organization: a. Roll Call b. Review of minutes from April 11, 2017 meeting. c. Review of minutes from April 17, 2017 meeting. d. Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2 the agenda was properly posted on Thursday, May 4, 2017. e. Non-Agendized Communications - Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three minutes. f. HPC direction to staff regarding non-agendized communications - Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. 3. In accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, copies of the staff reports and other materials provided to the Heritage Preservation Commission by City staff in connection with this agenda are available at the office of the Community Development Department Director at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California 95070. Any materials distributed by staff after the posting of the agenda are made available for public review at the office of the Director at the time they are distributed to the Heritage Preservation Commission. Stransky/Cappello moved to approve the March 14, 2017 minutes. Ayes: Cappello, Nugent, Marchetti, Rodgers, Schuck, Shah, Stransky Noes: None Absent: None c. Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the agenda was properly posted on February 9, 2017. Kwon reported the posting of the agenda. d. Village Policy Update (Heinrichs 9AM) b. 20570 Marion Road (Addition & New Garage) Page 2 of 3 Commission recommended approval of the project (including moving the house back approximately 3 feet) with conditions. Ayes: Cappello, Nugent, Schuck, Shah, Stransky Noes: Marchetti, Rodgers Absent: None Cappello was excused to leave the meeting. Stransky/Shah voted to continue all items to next meeting, except 5 b and 5c. Ayes: Nugent, Marchetti, Rodgers, Schuck, Shah, Stransky Noes: None Absent: Cappello 4. Staff Comments: a. Main Street Program (Kwon) Kwon briefly noted that this applies the larger commercial areas. b. Introduction Letter (Baily) Continued to next meeting c. Arbor Day – May 1, 2017 Madronia Cemetery and Arboretum Baily provided the Draft Heritage Tree Inventory Guidebook. c. National Preservation Month  Responsibilities/Workteams  Proclamation (CC May 3, 2017)  Poster Marchetti discussed poster design. Screen check to be provided to staff and Commission. d.
