Vice Mayor Cappello, Council Member Miller. Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, this m eeting was properly post ed on November 29, 2018. Accept Agenda Items : No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2. Approval of November 27th minutes (Cheatham, Agarwal) Oral & Written Communication: Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on th e agenda for this meeting for up three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter, but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. I. Color Dash a) Input from previous years. a. Runner bibs this year? i. Maybe track the top ten runners ii. Avoid chip bibs to target the less competitive and families b. Trail c. Registration Process i. Online and day of registration d. Take aways? b) Subcommittees? a. Distribute responsibilities – have people who know what they are doing at each station b. Motion to vote on subcommittees: marketing, food/drinks, registration/volunteers (Cheatham, Miller) 11-0; Passed i. Registration/Volunteer – Naisha, Carolyn, Chris, Nithya ii. Marketing – Pranav, Kami, Safia, Isaac iii. Food/Drinks – Mary Elizabeth, Brianna, Varsha Advice from the Council • Market for general population (dogs, babies, kids having fun) o Focus on target marketing for families • Have something for children to do while parents run o Bouncy house • Water Stations o Just have one at midpoint (block off the parking area by the end of the train tracks to allow a safe water station area on the concrete) • Color o Have designated areas to spray with water and color throwing (include a training) o Have color station at the beginning for people to color themselves • Advertisement o Contact Council Member Kumar for email support o Contact schools and P.E. teachers II. Movie Night a) Friday, December 14th b) 5:30-9:30pm c) Saratoga Prospect Center d) Roundtable of Marketing – where did you post or how did you market so far? e) Goal of 40-50+ people! f) Bring blankets and friends/family g) Opening speech or closing speech a.
