Preservation Commission a written notice and filing fee within ten (10) days of the date of the decision.
In accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, copies of the staff reports and other materials provided to the Heritage
Preservation Commission by City staff in connection with this agenda are available at the office of the Community
Development Department Director at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California 95070. Any materials distributed
by staff after the posting of the agenda are made available for public review at the office of the Director at the time
they are distributed to the Heritage Preservation Commission.

2.Call to Order: Chair Marchetti called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM

Present: Chair Marilyn Marchetti, Vice Chair Dr. Jo Rodgers, Alexandra Nugent, and Annette
Stransky.
Absent: Rina Shah
Staff: Debbie Pedro, Community Development Director and Nicole Johnson, Planner II

5. Approval of January 8, 2019 minutes
Stransky/Nugent moved to approve the minutes. Motion passed. Ayes: Stransky, Nugent,
and Rodgers. Noes: None Absent: Shah. Abstain: Marchetti
6.New Business:
a. Webinar-Identifying and treating historic wood-The HPC viewed the webinar.
Commissioner Shah joined the meeting at 12:25 PM

9.Commission Items
Commissioner Marchetti mentioned that staff should investigate including the Memorial
Arch in the World War 1 Memorial Inventory Project.
