Routine Organization A. Roll Call a. All commissioners present with the exception of Commissioner Koepernik. B. Approval of minutes from the October 13, 2009 meeting. a. Decision moved to Dec. Meeting. C. Posting of the Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda was posted on November 5, 2009. a. Agenda properly posted. D. Oral and Written Communication – Any member of the public may address the Commission for up to three minutes about any matter not on the agenda. Commissioners may not comment of the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda. a. None received. E. Oral Communications – Instruction to staff regarding actions on current Oral Communications. a. No action required. 2. Old Business A. Signatures for Brown Act a. All signatures received with the exception of Commissioner Koepernik. 3. New Business A. 8:30 a.m. Site Visit – 19565 Glen Una Drive – Review of a request by Nick Gera to add a first and second story addition to an existing two story single family home. The home is not included on the Heritage Resources Inventory. However, HPC review is required because the structure is greater than fifty years of age. a. Introduction of property owner Nick Gera. Project opened for discussion. Commissioner Conrado discussed that the property should not be deemed historic, due to the numerous existing renovations. Commissioner Kellond, Tai, Gomersall, Vice-Chair McCarty and Chair Marra agreed. Conrado moved to determine that the structure is not historically significant. Kellond seconded. Ayes 6, Nays 0. B. Draft Heritage Resources Inventory List – Comments & Discussion a. Staff presented HPC with documentation of 109 of the 111 listed properties within the Saratoga Heritage Resource Inventory Update. HPC directed staff to send (via e-mail) a Summary Sheet of properties from previous inventory, properties on proposed inventory, and proposed context statement. C. Letter from Warren B. Heid, dated 10-9-09 a. HPC instructed staff to address letter at future HPC meeting. HPC is waiting for context statement to provide direction. D. HPC Website a. HPC directed staff to make minor changes to Heritage Preservation Commission page at City of Saratoga website. 4. Pending Items A. None 5.
