Routine Organization A. Roll Call: PRESENT­ Koepernik, Ballingall, Grens, Peck ABSENT­None GUESTS­Tom Lowdermilk, Patricia A. Bailey, Karola Zanjani B. Approval of minutes from 4/2/02­Approved 4­0 C. Posting of the Agenda ­ Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda was posted on Thursday March 28, 2002 D. Oral Communications­Brief introduction made by each of the guests about themselves and their interest in the HPC. E. Written Communications­None II. Old Business A. Update on the Orchard adopt a tree kiosk­Norm Koepernik gave an update on the status of the project. B. Heritage Tours –Continue discussion C. Create calendar of old historic photos­Dora Grens showed the final draft of the document. D. Austin Way­ Heritage Lane designation­Discussed project timeline and progress. III. New Business A. Heritage Orchard update and discussion­During the HPC discussion of the Heritage Orchard, members Koepernik, Grens and Peck made the following statement “Intent of the removal of the Oak trees was to preserve and maintain a working orchard and not an Oak tree park.” Phylis Ballingall made the following statement” The Oak trees should only be removed at the recommendation of the Orchardist, Matt Novackovich.” B. Addition to the Museum at 20450 Saratoga­Los Gatos Road Approved 4­0 IV. Items Initiated by the Commission Review Heritage Preservation Ordinance V. Items Initiated by the Secretary July and August meetings will need to be in the Planning Department’s meeting room due to Kids Camp in the Warner Hutton House. VI.
