Date: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 8:30 a.m.
Place: Warner Hutton House, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue
Type: Regular Meeting - Please meet in the parking lot in front of the Warner
Hutton House at 8:30 a.m. and Staff will provide transportation to the site visit
under New Business and return to City Hall by 9:00am
I. Routine Organization
A. Roll Call
B. Approval of minutes from 3/8/05
C. Posting of Agenda – Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the
agenda was posted on Thursday April 7, 2005
D. Oral & Written Communication - Any member of the public may address the
Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to
three minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose
to place the topic on a future agenda.
II. Old Business
A. Review history on 19101 Via Tesoro Court to consider the structure for Land
Mark Status and Mills Act Participation.
B. Update on City sites being submitted for the National Registry.
III. New Business
A. 8:30 a.m. Review proposed wireless antenna facility in the Heritage
Orchard/Library 13650 Saratoga Avenue– Make recommendation to PC.
B. 8:45 a.m. Review proposed project at 14189 Saratoga Avenue
C. Recommend Architect for McWilliams House renovations to the City
Council.
D. Have HPC make a recommendation concerning the proposed fee of $500 for
Historic Project Review.
E. Update by the HPC Chair on the West Valley College Historic House
IV. Items to be placed on the next Agenda
A. Update on Work Plan assignments.
B. Review request from the Saratoga Historic Foundation to have a sign placed
on Saratoga Avenue in the orchard saying “Saratoga Historical Orchard, a
Glimpse of the Past, Preserved for the Future”.
C. Review list of properties with structures 50 years and over in age
D. Historic Preservation Data Base
E. Plaques
V. Pending Items
A. Adopt a Tree Program for the Heritage Orchard
B. Update Heritage Ordinance
C. Review Oak Street as a Heritage Lane
VI. Adjournment

Any recommendation made by the Heritage Preservation Commission may be appealed
to the Planning Commission within 10 days of the date of the decision. The appeal shall
be taken by filing with the Secretary of the Planning Commission a written notice and
filing fee within 10 days of the date of the decision.
